Experts talk on the topics of “Sustainability in air transport system” & “Alternative propulsion”

As part of the 14th EASN International Conference in Thessaloniki this year, we were delighted to introduce a novel format aimed at fostering deeper discussions on pressing topics in the aviation sector. For the first time, the program featured two Panel Discussions, bringing together leading experts to share their insights, ideas, and visions for the future of aviation. This dynamic format provided a platform for interactive dialogue and exchange of knowledge among prominent figures in the field, with an emphasis on addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities.

As part of the 14th EASN International Conference, a new and exciting initiative was introduced: the Poster Section & Competition, aimed at spotlighting innovative research contributions in the fields of aviation and space. With over 50 posters submitted, participants showcased their cutting-edge work in a broad spectrum of thematic areas. The evaluation process followed a peer-review methodology, ensuring a fair and thorough assessment by fellow experts.

EASN and ICAS Forge Stronger Ties with Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

At the 14th EASN International Conference in Thessaloniki, Greece, a significant milestone was reached with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) association and the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS).

EASN Interest Group on “Space Technologies & Applications”

On the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the European Commission and SPACE AISBL for the co-programmed European Partnership for Globally Competitive Space Systems (“Space Partnership”) in the context of Horizon Europe, an important effort is in progress for upgrading and restructuring the space pillar within the EASN Association.

EASN Stakeholders Advisory Board (SAB) Meeting

On October 7th, 2024, the EASN Stakeholders Advisory Board (SAB) convened for a key meeting that included important decisions regarding leadership and the future of the Board. After a unanimous proposal from the EASN Board of Directors, EASN Chairman Andreas Strohmayer formally requested the 3-year term renewal of the SAB, which is composed of distinguished industry and academic experts from the aerospace community.

EASN & EUCASS Co-Organize Workshop on Hydrogen in Aviation & Space

EASN, in collaboration with EUCASS (European Conference on Aerospace Sciences), is pleased to announce an enlightening Workshop on "Hydrogen in Aviation & Space: Opportunities and Challenges", which will take place at the prestigious Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Sint-Genesius-Rode, Belgium.

Funded by the Horizon Europe programme, CAELESTIS is a project seeking to conduct groundbreaking technical research into virtual prototyping and digital twins.
