On October 7th, 2024, the EASN Stakeholders Advisory Board (SAB) convened for a key meeting that included important decisions regarding leadership and the future of the Board. After a unanimous proposal from the EASN Board of Directors, EASN Chairman Andreas Strohmayer formally requested the 3-year term renewal of the SAB, which is composed of distinguished industry and academic experts from the aerospace community.
New Board:
The proposal to renew the term of the SAB members was warmly accepted by all participants, reaffirming their commitment to supporting EASN’s strategic goals and initiatives. The new board positions were confirmed after a unanimous decision:
- Prof. Spiros Pantelakis (University of Patras) – Chairman
- Dr. Dietrich Knoerzer – (former Senior Officer in the Aviation Unit of DG Research & Innovation, European Commission) Vice Chairman
- Mr. Jens König (Airbus Operations GmbH) – Member
- Mr. Volker Krajenski (German Aerospace Center - DLR)
- Mr. Joeri De Ruytter (Honeywell Aerospace Technologies) – Member
- Mr. Francesco Salvato (Italian Association for Industrial Research - IRIS) – Member
- Prof. Dr. Dieter Schmitt (ACS - Aeronautical Consulting & Solutions) – Member
- Dr. Gioia Venturini (SAFRAN Group) – Member
