The 14th EASN International Conference on "Innovation in Aviation & Space towards sustainability today & tomorrow", will be held from October 8th to 11th, 2024, in Greece. The EASN Association and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are excited to welcome all delegates in the lively city of Thessaloniki, at the renowned Concert Hall.
The event will be performed with the kind support of the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), Clean Aviation JU, SESAR JU, the Association of the European Space Research Establishments (ESRE), FRAUNHOFER, Hellenic Aerospace Industry, and si-cluster.
In response to the invaluable feedback from its predecessors, the 14th EASN International Conference on "Innovation in Aviation & Space towards sustainability today & tomorrow" is introducing two high-level discussion panels into the plenary sessions, while retaining the impactful keynote presentations. This dynamic format aims to boost engagement and spotlights distinguished representatives from key stakeholders in the European aviation and space community, fostering enriched and interactive exchanges. The plenary sessions (the speakers are presented in alphabetical order) are the following:

Furthermore, a few selected highlights of the upcoming gathering are the following:
- Seven clustered sessions organized and supported by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in collaboration with projects from Clean Aviation, are currently in preparation. These sessions will delve into key topics including Hydrogen in Aviation, SAF Challenges, Local Air Quality, H2-air Combustion & SOFC, and Digitalization of Manufacturing. Each session will feature presentations highlighting the progress and accomplishments of ongoing research activities, as well as open discussion panels.
- A variety of Technical Sessions & Workshops on emerging scientific and technological topics. Amongst them:
- A series of sessions under the overarching topic “Sustainable and Circular Aircraft Development and Production”.
- An extended showcase of the EcoDesign programme with 3 streams dealing with Sustainable engineering, Life Cycle Assessment and ecoDesign in Clean Aviation.
- Interactive workshops dealing with design for sustainability & holistic digital modeling along the aerospace product life cycle.
- A number of thematics on space related matters.
- A series of sessions under the overarching topic “Sustainable and Circular Aircraft Development and Production”.
- Dedicated EU funded project sessions, showcasing the research achievements and future trends and opportunities.
In this context, all prospective authors are cordially invited to submit their abstracts for presentation at the 14th EASN International Conference on the dedicated submission platform by May 31st, 2024.
We also encourage the participants to exploit the early bird fees, available until July 31st, and register online at their earliest convenience in order to secure their seat in this “not to miss” gathering of the aviation and space community.
