Advancing collaboration and technical progress in hydrogen aviation
As H2ELIOS enters the final phase of the project, consortium partners continue to strengthen collaboration and coordinate the next steps for advancing liquid hydrogen (LH₂) storage solutions for future aviation applications. Through ongoing technical exchanges and strategic discussions, the project remains focused on supporting Europe’s transition towards more sustainable and climate-neutral aviation technologies.
A key milestone in this continued effort was the organisation of the 14th Technical Committee and 6th Steering Committee meetings, hosted by APPLUS in Lleida, Spain, on 12–13 May 2026. Representatives from across the consortium gathered to review the project’s ongoing activities, discuss technical progress achieved across the different work packages, and coordinate upcoming actions related to validation, integration, dissemination, and final project outcomes.

As the project progresses towards completion, the consortium remains committed to final validation activities, dissemination of project achievements, and continued engagement with the European aviation research community.
Looking ahead, H2ELIOS will participate in a collaborative webinar at the end of September 2026 exploring future pathways for sustainable aviation. Stay tuned for further details and registration information in the coming months.
