Catalyst funds and career support: Key opportunities from Engage 2

Engage 2 is excited to announce several key opportunities for the European ATM research and innovation community, including the launch of a new funding call and support for young researchers.

Call for Catalyst Funds will be launched in December 2025

Engage 2 is officially launching its second call for Catalyst funds at the SESAR Innovation Days 2025 in Bled.

This is an opportunity for researchers and innovators to secure funding and turn their innovative ideas into reality within the SESAR research and innovation landscape. Engage 2 is specifically looking for proposals that push the boundaries of Air Traffic Management (ATM) research.

The call will be available from the 1st of December on the Wiki.

Opportunities for MSc Students

Engage 2 is also opening a new wave for its MSc student support programme, aiming to support the next generation of ATM talent.

Students can receive tailored support, including:

• Assistance with thesis topic identification
• Peer-review of technical content
• Career path discussions
• Participation in international ATM events
• Internship opportunities with CANSO members

Join Engage 2 at SESAR Innovation Days

Engage 2 will be a key participant at the SESAR Innovation Days 2025 (December 1st to 4th in Bled). In addition to using the event as the official platform for the Catalyst Funds call launch, the Engage 2 team will also present the latest testing version of its new Matchmaking App. This app is designed to connect researchers and professionals within the network.
