Advancing Aerospace Innovation Through Collaboration
On September 24, 2025, three Horizon Europe projects—DEMOQUAS, GENEX, and TOSCA (PROFACTOR)—came together to host an insightful webinar titled “Advancing Digitalization and Composite Technologies for Safer, More Sustainable Aviation.”
The event highlighted cutting-edge developments in aerospace manufacturing, including GENEX’s pioneering use of 3R resin for recyclable and repairable composites. It also showcased how digital tools and sensor technologies are transforming aircraft design and maintenance, driving efficiency and reliability.
This collaborative initiative underscored the importance of eco-efficient, data-driven solutions in shaping a smarter and greener future for aviation.
GENEX at the 15th EASN International Conference: Driving Digital Transformation in Aerospace Manufacturing
GENEX showcased its latest breakthroughs at the 15th EASN Technology Innovation Services International Conference in Madrid, held from 14–17 October 2025. Across three dedicated sessions, the project shared results that are shaping the future of aerospace manufacturing.
Highlights included presentations on smart manufacturing in AFP, focusing on predicting composite quality through process data; sustainability and circularity in aviation manufacturing, featuring life cycle assessment and costing of thermoplastic composite components with digital-assisted repair technologies; and recent advances in structural health monitoring (SHM), exploring sensor data optimization and predictive maintenance strategies for composite aerospace structures.
These contributions reinforced GENEX’s commitment to delivering the digital twin vision and advancing eco-efficient, data-driven solutions for next-generation aerospace production.

GENEX Final Event in Zaragoza: Shaping the Future of Aerospace Manufacturing
On February 17–18, 2026, the GENEX project will celebrate its successful conclusion with a two-day event hosted at ITA – Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón and Teruel Airport in Spain. The program will feature technical presentations, live demonstrations, roundtable discussions, and exclusive technical visits, all focused on advancing digitalization in manufacturing, sustainable practices, and MRO solutions.
This milestone event will bring together industry experts and project partners to showcase GENEX’s achievements and explore innovative pathways for smarter, greener aerospace production.
