ASTRAIOS Knowledge-Sharing

As part of its commitment to supporting workforce development and knowledge exchange in the European space sector, the ASTRAIOS project continues to deliver high-quality online events and learning opportunities.

The ASTRAIOS Webinar Series, hosted under the Knowledge Hub of the ASTRAIOS website, features expert-led discussions on emerging space technologies, applications, and interdisciplinary knowledge. These sessions are open-access and aim to support students, early-career researchers, and professionals seeking to broaden their expertise. The first webinars explored topics such as:

  • GeoXR: Characteristics and Uses
  • Uncontrolled Illegal Mining and Garimpo in the Brazilian Amazon
  • Remote Sensing the Atmosphere Using Space Geodetic Techniques

More webinars are scheduled throughout 2025 and will continue to enrich the project's digital learning resources. All recordings and materials are accessible through the ASTRAIOS Knowledge Hub.

In parallel, two ASTRAIOS Info Sessions were successfully held. These sessions, specifically tailored for students and young professionals, provided participants with insights into space education, exchange programs, mobility, skills development, and career opportunities in the space sector. Guest speakers from academia, industry, and policy shared their expertise, while participants had the chance to engage in live discussions and explore the resources available through ASTRAIOS.

Complementing these efforts, the third and final ASTRAIOS Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Peer-to-Peer Learning Workshop was held online on 28 May 2025, welcoming stakeholders from across and beyond the space community. The workshop featured real-world ESG case studies, lightning talks, and collaborative discussions, all contributing to the forthcoming ASTRAIOS ESG Book on best practices.
