On 6th June, the European Aerospace Science Network (EASN) and the Joint European Drone Associations (JEDA) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster scientific, technological, and organizational cooperation in the field of aviation. This collaboration aims to create a platform for efficient exchange of knowledge and expertise, by broading networks and strengthening relationships between the members.
The scope of the MoU is built around several key initiatives designed to maximize the potential for joint cooperation. As part of their intended work plan, EASN and JEDA will:
- Actively support one another in raising awareness among their respective research communities and facilitating the acquisition of new partners;
- Jointly participate in research and innovation initiatives and encourage bilateral collaboration;
- Leverage EASN’s expertise in communication and dissemination of knowledge, through EASN-TIS;
- Facilitate JEDA’s involvement in thematic sessions and workshops during EASN Conferences;
- Explore opportunities to co-organize future thematic sessions and workshops.
With this MoU, EASN and JEDA have committed to building a strong and lasting partnership, reinforcing their shared goal of advancing aviation research and fostering innovation across Europe.
An MoU signing ceremony will also take place during the upcoming 15th EASN Conference in Madrid.
