EICACS Advances AI Research
The European Initiative for Collaborative Air Combat Standardization (EICACS) has entered its third year, building on two years of substantial progress in enhancing Europe’s air combat capabilities through innovation and collaboration.
A recent highlight in the project’s efforts was its participation at NeurIPS 2024, a leading global conference on artificial intelligence and machine learning, held in Vancouver, Canada. Thibault Lahire represented EICACS with distinction, actively engaging with experts in multi-agent reinforcement learning—a key area of research shaping the future of autonomous and cooperative air combat systems. His discussions with global AI leaders provided valuable insights that will further strengthen EICACS’s research and development efforts.

As EICACS moves forward, the project remains committed to pioneering new AI-driven methodologies, enhancing interoperability, and setting new standards for the future of collaborative air combat in Europe.
