In the frame of the 14th EASN International Conference, set to unfold in Thessaloniki, Greece, this year, the formal gathering of the “Interest Group on ‘Space Technologies and Applications’” will take place on October 11.

This event aims to bring together all EASN members who have an active involvement in space research activities and share information on:

• the establishment of the European Association S.P.A.C.E AISBL with partners from industry, SMEs, RTOs and academia
• the establishment of a Co-Programmed European Partnership on Globally Competitive Space Systems within the framework program "Horizon Europe" endorsed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the EU
• the outcomes of the Coordination and Support Action (CSA) with a focus on academic space education issues

The gathering will also provide the forum for an open discussion between all IG members for a better coordination, prioritization of Space Research Topics and an update of the EASNs White Paper for Space Research Technologies.
