Analysis of Skills, Training, Research and Innovation Opportunities in Space

The ASTRAIOS (Analysis of Skills, Training, Research and Innovation Opportunities in Space) Horizon Europe project, has made great progress during the past months! The consortium has produced useful and practical tools and documents that can be utilized and exploited by the aerospace research community, policy makers, and the wider public. These are the ASTRAIOS web catalogue, the European Taxonomy of Space Knowledge (EU-TaSK)fascinating facts about the European space workforce and the analysis of the future trends in the space sector to predict and anticipate the skill requirements of the field over the next decade.

Currently, the ASTRAIOS project is running several surveys to gather data on 1) the workforce within the European Union's space sector, 2) the new ways of working and soft skills needed by the sector, 3) the future skills gaps and needs. All these data will feed into different levels of analyses, to further assess the various gaps hindering the progression and success of the space industry, the future space sector workforce soft skills’ needs, and the skills and education gaps that can be refined. Upcoming events where you can connect and network with our partners include the Industry Space Days at ESTEC, COSPAR 45th Scientific Assembly, the IAC in Milan, Space Tech Europe in Bremen, and the 14th EASN International Conference.

You may have your say in our currently running surveys, stay updated about our activities, workshops and news by subscribing to the ASTRAIOS mailing list and by joining its virtual community on LinkedInand Twitter!
