The European Aerospace Science Network (EASN) actively supports the local activity of its academic members, consistently encouraging initiatives aimed at the dissemination of knowledge, interdisciplinary networking, and scientific outreach.

Fostering local academic excellence and empowering the next generation of researchers are central pillars of EASN’s mission. It is therefore with great pleasure that EASN supported the 1st International TUC Space Summer School 2026, hosted by our member institution -Technical University of Crete- in Chania last July 2026.

The Summer School was organized by the SenseLab Space Informatics Research Group and the Laboratory of Geodesy and Geoinformatics of the Technical University of Crete, bringing together students, researchers, academics, and space professionals from around the world.

The event welcomed more than 100 participants from over 10 countries across Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. Its intensive programme combined high-level lectures, hands-on workshops, team-based projects, and networking activities, providing participants with a comprehensive educational experience focused on the latest developments in space science and technology.
