Last week, the global aerospace community gathered at the ILA Berlin Air Show, providing a premier stage for the future of sustainable aviation technology. EASN was actively involved in these vital strategic conversations, ensuring the voice of European academia is deeply integrated into the continent's industrial roadmaps.
On Wednesday, June 10th, EASN Vice-Chairman Prof. Gustavo Alonso represented the EASN association on a distinguished stage, taking part in Clean Aviation's flagship panel discussion: “Invented in Europe. Developed in Europe. Built in Europe – Why Europe must retain the full aviation innovation chain.”
The high-level panel brought together influential voices from policy, industrial pioneers, and research leaders to make a decisive case for maintaining absolute technological continuity within Europe.
During the session, the discussion underscored that the journey toward sustainable and competitive European aviation begins in university labs and regional research clusters. By actively contributing to such high-level discussions, EASN continues to champion the collaborative frameworks that transform breakthrough scientific concepts into flight-ready, sustainable technologies.
