The CLAIM project Successfully Concludes
The CLAIM Project has officially wrapped up, with the final review meeting taking place on July 9th in Brussels, hosted at the Clean Aviation offices.
This final milestone brought together project partners and external experts for a constructive and successful review, providing feedback and insights into how CLAIM’s results can be further exploited to shape the future of sustainable aviation.
Recapping CLAIM's Results
The results of CLAIM shall be extremely valuable, from evaluating and selecting appropriate climate metrics to performing technology roadmapping and demonstrating the environmental performance of Clean Aviation SMR and HER concepts.
A special way has been employed to demonstrate its final outcomes: an interactive presentation is now live on the CLAIM website, offering a unique opportunity to dive into the results in a dynamic way. Check it out and explore:
- Recommendations for climate metrics and impact assessment methodologies for aviation
- Pathways and insights for understanding the impact of novel aircraft concepts

CLAIM continues to shine in the conference arena
The project consortium is dedicated to disseminating the substantial work that has been produced within CLAIM through various channels, such as publications, workshops, and conferences. This will ensure that the research findings reach a wide audience and have a meaningful impact on the field.
Recently, three impactful presentations were held in prestigious conferences:
- "An Integrated Approach From Scouting To Impact Assessment Of Future Aircraft Technologies": Pascal Bertram (DLR) presented the results of the Preliminary Aircraft Environmental-Performance Analyses at DLRK2025.
- "Climate Impact Assessment of Future Aircraft Technologies: Methodology Demonstration and Recommendations from the CLAIM project": Pascal Bertram (DLR) presented the methodology and recommendations derived by CLAIM work at the 15th EASN International Conference.
- "Most promising technologies and aircraft concepts for environmental performance improvements: A systematic review": Lukas Söffing (NLR) presented the conclusions of the "technology watch exercise" at this year's CEAS-AIDAA Conference.
