From the ASTRAIOS Session at the 15th EASN International Conference to the Project’s Signature Event in Paris Showcasing the Project’s Journey and Outcomes

As the project neared its final phase, ASTRAIOS engaged the community through its dedicated session at the EASN Conference in Madrid and concluded its journey with a Final Event in Paris.

On 15 October 2025, ASTRAIOS held a dedicated session during the 15th EASN International Conference in Madrid, titled “Building a Future-Ready Space Workforce in Europe.”

The session showcased the project’s main achievements, including its mapping of European space education and training programmes, workforce and mobility analyses, development of open-access MOOCs, and creation of learning materials and career resources.

These outcomes form a comprehensive open-access knowledge base available through the ASTRAIOS website and directly support EU initiatives such as the Pact for Skills and the SPACE4GEO Large-scale Skills Partnership. The session attracted strong interest from students, researchers, and professionals eager to engage with the evolving European space skills landscape.

This milestone at the 15th EASN International Conference set the stage for the project’s Final Event, held shortly after in Paris.

The ASTRAIOS Final Event, “Towards a Skilled Europe for Space Innovation,” took place on 1 December 2025 in Paris and online. This hybrid gathering brought together stakeholders from across Europe to revisit the project’s achievements and reflect on how Europe can continue to strengthen its space skills ecosystem.

Throughout the day, project partners presented the final ASTRAIOS results and outputs, followed by interactive exchanges on future opportunities for skills development, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the European space community. The full event recording will be made available on the ASTRAIOS YouTube channel.

Although the project has now reached its final phase, its legacy remains active. All webinars, MOOCs, training materials, workforce analyses, and career resources will continue to be accessible through the ASTRAIOS website, ensuring long-term availability of the project’s evidence-based insights and educational tools.
