Position of EASN's National Contact Points on the situation concerning disruptive upstream research in Europe

The EASN Association has released a position paper voicing deep concerns about the European Commission’s recent shift in research priorities—towards integration and demonstration of existing innovations over support for disruptive upstream research. The EASN Board of Directors and National Contact Points argue that this decision risks undermining Europe's leadership in aviation innovation.

At the same time, EASN remains ready to collaborate with the Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking, the European Commission, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure the innovation pipeline continues to fuel the breakthroughs of tomorrow.
